I’m Ari Levanti.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with y’all since July 2025, and I’m so excited to see an open opportunity that’s very consistent with my previous experience. Here’s my application portfolio for the Associate Director of Communications & Marketing position!

I’m a senior-level marketing/communications strategist, graphic designer, and social media manager with over 10 years of professional experience in design and digital communications. I have an extensive background in management and brand development for not just nonprofits but a large variety of large-scale clients.

Management experience:

5+ years

Experienced in hiring processes for contractors, interns, entry-to-senior level employees, artists, event coordinators, social media teams, and more over a variety of spaces and industries. Fostering and supporting growth among the teams I’ve built is some of the most rewarding work to me, and I’m lucky that I’ve been able to do that in some capacity at every touchstone in my professional career.

Outside of direct management experience, I have a rich background of project and brand management success.

Strategy experience:

6 years

My entire career has focused on strategy and communications in both grassroots nonprofit and for-profit sectors. From developing and executing comprehensive, all-inclusive marketing plans (social, email, direct mail, paid ads) to helping agencies and nonprofits secure funding.

Through creative communication in RFPs, slide deck submissions, grant presentations, metric reports, and trade show strategy- I’ve spent most of my career directly contributing to strategies that consistently make money and raise visibility.

I am also experienced in collaborating cross-functionally with teams (Development / Fundraising / Sales / The Board) to create strategies that work organization-wide.

Design Experience:

13+ years

I’ve been working professionally as a branding expert for over 13 years, with a majority of that time focused on social media strategy. No matter the program, timeline, workflow, or task- I can make it happen. I pride myself on being able to harness the creativity of anyone I work with, and providing accessible communication through the design process.

Specialties include brand design, social media design, web design, illustration, event design, and motion graphics/video.


- Organized content strategy and oversaw content creation for a campaign that netted over 3 million impressions.

- Worked on a nonprofit RFP/strategy presentation that was awarded $4.5M in funding for clean energy housing improvement in NYC.

- Multiple years managing marketing/social/art strategy for a yearly event (12mo. marketing cycle) that gained an average of $10m/yr through sponsor acquisition strategy.

- Executed marketing/communications strategy and deliverables for a campaign that registered over 12,000 first-time youth voters for the 2020 general election.

- Increased email opens by 63% in one year, for an end total of over 2 million opens.

- Created, managed, and executed a weekly content calendar resulting in over 350 strategic emails and over 600 posts across 16 platforms in one calendar year, doubling following through organic content alone.

- Performed social media audits for a variety of high-profile clients (individuals and companies) and presented them with feedback, education, design, and action plans to improve their marketing/comms strategy.

- Designed direct mail that was (and still is) sent to every electric utility customer in Chicago, Philadelphia, Delaware, Newark, and Baltimore.

- Collaborated with all departments and the board to re-brand each of a historic nonprofit’s three different branches after 25 years.

I’m so excited to continue my journey at ASHwell and would love to speak with leadership more about this opportunity.

During my time as the Content Production Specialist, I have been focused on a growth-forward mindset and consistently take on and succeed at projects and tasks fitting of a associate director- such as the large-scale Program Branding project and HoeDown.

During my time here, I have been frequently drawing on my previous experience and dreaming up a multitude of marketing strategies and approaches that I’d love to discuss, present, and ultimately implement. Due to my professional experience, I truly believe I am a great fit for this position, and am incredibly invested in ASHwell’s mission and growth.
